"Your flow, kavana and shira clearly reach folks in their souls"
Eliot, D.C.

"MOSh is a place to find joy in song and prayer, a place to be my "Renewalist self!"
Susan, Potomac, MD

Founded in 2012 by Rabbi Mark Novak, Minyan Oneg Shabbat promotes Judaism as spiritual practice. It's a lab shul that fosters spiritual inquiry and discernment,
a few hours in which to experience joy and calm, inspiration and connection, the Torah of our ancestors and the Torah of our lives.
Drawing on the individual voices of those present, we weave together
  song • torah • meditation • poetry • laughter • chant • liturgy • and embodied prayer,

making meaning and memory, while making friends too.
Where else can you boogie, improvise lyrics, meditate, davven, share a story,
chant, laugh, smile, and wipe away a tear - all on the same Shabbat morning?

"Reb Mark’s Shabbat services are joyful, soulful, and full of life!
Heart-centered Judaism combined with song and dance.

A fulfilling and meaningful experience for those seeking “alternative” approaches to Judaism!"
Amy F. - Bethesda, MD DC
